Trading Safety Guide
Last updated: 2026-05-18
BagLog trades happen in the real world. A few simple habits make them much safer.
Before you meet
- Chat only inside the App. You never need to share your phone number, email, or address.
- Read the other person's profile and previous activity. New accounts deserve more caution.
- Agree on the item, condition, and any value clearly in writing inside the chat.
Choosing a meeting spot
- Public. Cafés, train stations, shopping centres — places with people and cameras.
- Daytime. Avoid late evenings and isolated areas.
- Never your home. Don't share your address. Don't go to a stranger's home.
- Tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back. Share your live location with them if you can.
During the meeting
- Inspect the item before any value changes hands.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, walk away. You owe nobody a trade.
- If you feel threatened, leave and contact local emergency services.
After the meeting
- If the trade went badly or felt unsafe, use the Report user option in chat and Block the person.
- For criminal behaviour, contact your local police. We will cooperate with lawful requests.
BagLog is a platform — we are not present at meetings and cannot guarantee anyone's behaviour. You are responsible for your own safety.
BagLog is not an emergency or law-enforcement service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
